Ultra High Pressure Pharmaceutical Homogenizer

GEA Niro Soavi has introduced the first Ultra High Pressure Homogenizer in pilot / prototype scale able to reach a maximum pressure of 4000 bar.

The unique characteristic of this technology is the dynamic application of Ultra High Pressure, on a continuous fluid flow, which is different from other high pressure applications available on the market (e.g. high pressure hydraulic presses, for static pressure application); this characteristic is in line with the homogenization technology, as homogenizers are designed to process under high pressure and continuous flow conditions.

The Dynamic Ultra High Pressure offers an effective method for cell rupture bringing yields factors up to 100% in single pass.

The Dynamic Ultra High Pressure Homogenizer allows particle size reduction below 100 nanometers in single pass processing for nanoemulsions, nanosuspensions, liposomes, and microencapsulation applications.
