Upadacitinib, a selective JAK1 inhibitor, is approved for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, atopic dermatitis, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's disease. Curia developed the compound for regulatory purposes at its flagship Valladolid, Spain facility, building on more than 30 years in complex small molecule development. The program rests on a patented process for intermediates under the WO2021123288 patent family and a stable amorphous solid form. Curia also holds US, Korean, and Brazilian DMFs for the API, which support submissions in those regions.
