The Harro Höfliger "vacuum filling and sealing chamber", which is installed in a glove box, enables the safe filling of pouch cells with electrolyte and subsequent sealing under vacuum with repeatable quality. Furthermore, it allows for the safe opening of the gas bubble which is created during formation. The automated filling and sealing process ensures process reliable operation. The integration of the vacuum chamber into a glove box offers the highest level of safety for operator and product. The operator is not exposed to the highly toxic gases of the evaporating electrolytes and the protective gas atmosphere protects the product from humidity and oxygen. Recipe management, which is stored in the software, makes it possible to identify process parameters – even after a longer period.
