Variport Mixing System

Variport Mixing System uses new hydraulic mixing technology with improvements to conventional hydraulic mixing for anaerobic digesters. The VariPort Mixing System incorporates an innovative mechanical actuator that allows the full discharge capacity of the pump to be sequentially directed to multiple ports in a digester. The hydraulic capacity and sequential mixing have been designed to achieve overall tank mixing for maximum digester gas production and reduced grit accumulation. The system, developed through full-scale operation, features:

• multiple discharge points to eliminate dead spots
  
• system design allows the digester to remain on-line during inspection or maintenance
  
• mechanical actuator for sequentially directed flow
