Vibratory Loss-In-Weight Feeder Ideal For Sensitive Granulations


The Coperion K-Tron K3 pharmaceutical design loss-in-weight vibratory tray feeder combines high accuracy with a configuration which is ideal for materials which may not be suitable in twin screw feeders, such as sensitive pharmaceutical granulations. The gentle vibratory feeding principle allows for low rate feeding without build-up which can occur on screws and screw tubes, or additional product degradation. Coperion K-Tron’s patented weighing technology and state-of-the-art KCM-III controller ensure high accuracy feeding while the easy-clean design of the vibratory tray ensure quick and easy product changeover. Special control algorithms permit the vibration method of feeding, without impacting the loss-in-weight signal.

Rates vary from as low as 5 up to 1600 dm3/h [0.176 up to 56.5 ft3/h]. The K3-PH vibratory loss-in-weight feeder is ideal for continuous and batch pharmaceutical operations including continuous extrusion, granulation, direct compression/blending and coating.
