Visual Inspection Systems Can Quickly And Easily Inspect For Particulates, Missing Items And Cosmetic Defects

The VIS series of semi-automated inspection machines has been on the market since 1985 and recently acquired by Eisai Machinery U.S.A. Inc. for design and manufacture in the United States.

The VIS series is a semi-automated solution that transports the product to a human inspector where inspectors can quickly and easily inspect for particulate and cosmetic defects. Both empty and filled, liquid, lyophilized or powder product can be inspected with ease for a wide range of manufacturing flaws related to container fill or container integrity.

These defects can include:

  • Particulates
  • Missing caps/Cap color
  • Crimp defects
  • Missing stoppers
  • Glass cracks
  • Other cosmetic defects

For particulate and cosmetic inspection of pre-filled vials, ampoules, and syringes.
The AIM (Automatic Inspection Machine) is capable of detecting particulate matter in vials, ampoules, and syringes as well as inspect for cosmetic defects at capacity of 24,000 vials/hour. The cosmetic inspection system can inspect the following features of the containers:

  • Body
  • Heel
  • Neck
  • Crimp
  • Cap color/presence
