Volkmann, Inc. To Exhibit New Equipment At The PTXi Show In Chicago

Volkmann, Inc., the newly formed U.S. subsidiary of Volkmann Gmbh, will be exhibiting the all-NEW range of VS and PPC Vacuum Conveyors at the PTXi Show in Chicago, May 5-7 2008, at Booth 3841.

Building on their 30 years of experience in the design and manufacture of high quality vacuum pneumatic conveyors in Europe, the company has opened a new facility in Hainesport, New Jersey to directly service the North American market.

All Volkmann conveyors feature the high efficiency MULTIJECTOR™ venturi pumps and are all pneumatic in operation.

Volkmann VS conveyors the latest development of the highly successful range of receivers. They have stainless steel contact parts, common seals throughout, external non-product contact valve actuators, and require no tools for disassembly and cleaning. Available in sizes from 170 mm diameter through 560 mm diameter with throughputs up to 6000 kgs/hr. The conveyors feature tangential or radial inlets, the unique "cyclone insert" for improved separation, and the latest filter technology. Lightweight and modular in design the VS range can be adapted to almost every application from simple up and in to more complex distribution systems.

The NEW PPC range has been specifically designed with the pharmaceutical market involved. Designed to cGMP standards the units are AISI 316L as standard, feature a one piece separator finished to Ra < 0.8µ, are crevice free and include a sanitary quick release (no tools required). Filters are long lasting, quick change, using sintered HD-PE, PTFE Coated Cartridges, or HEPA filters.

WIP/CIP ready units, inert gas conveying, high OEL standards are all featured.

Special arrangements for tablet presses, filling machines, blenders, etc. are available with the all pneumatic controller and ATEX certification makings EX applications simple to accommodate.

The Hainesport facility includes a fully functional test facility and the complete range of conveyors for product trials. Additionally through its association with Powder Technologies Incorporated, also in Hainesport, full screening and size reduction options can be built into the test process.
