Waste Disposal Chute

The company has recognized a need for safe removal of hazardous refuse from vented containment systems. To answer this need, the company offers a side mounted waste disposal chute (FS2070). This port is cut, molded and sealed into the containment system.

Made from the same tough, chemically resistant acrylic that Flow Sciences' units are constructed of, the inside and outside of the chute is easily cleaned and decontaminated.

• Waste disposal chute can be mounted on either side of the enclosure.
• Factory installed and sealed for greatest containment, the chute can also be easily retrofitted to existing field units.

The opening of the chute is 12.7 cm (5 in.) round to comfortably accommodate the researcher's hand. The 7.6 cm (3 in.) lipped chute extends only 6.4 cm (2½ in.) from the enclosure. This allows a downward sloping disposal while maximizing precious laboratory space. Most biohazard disposal bags can easily be fitted and removed.

Use the disposal chute to get rid of everything from used gloves to pipette tips and tissue scraps.
