Werner Mathis AG was founded in 1968 and has since then become an internationally reputable manufacturer of laboratory apparatus for textile dyeing, finishing and coating. Mathis AG has developed all of its products in collaboration with other reputable dyestuff and chemical manufac- turers in order to stay always at the highest technology level. Our products are sold all over the world. Our main customers are larger textile companies, textile research & development organisations, manufacturers of chemicals & dyestuffs, textile universities and colleges etc.
The company philosophy is aimed at the manufacture of machines of high quality, long life for their applications and easy to service. They are used for dyeing and finishing, for the formulation of recipes, for testing and coating but also for the preperation of pastes and finishing chemicals.

Since we have specialised in the laboratory field we have over these years also collected a lot of know-how in this field. This means we have for instance experiences in the transfer of laboratory results to the production and vice versa. Also we try to keep our apparatus as compact and multifunctional as possible where this is sensible. As an example we have a steamer (our type DH) which can be used for saturated steaming, HT-steaming as well as for all the heat treament processes with hot air. Another example is our jet dyer (type JFO) which is not only a pure jet, but can also be used as a drum dyer and package dyer. This may be a good combination for an institute which possibly must use the available money very cost effective. On this unit , as well as on some others we have used glass doors or glass cylinders so that the dye process can be observed, which we think is specially important also for education and training purposes.

Our best-seller in recent years has been our infrared beaker dyer LABOMAT. This new heating system in combination with the temperature measurement directly in the dye beaker is a successful inovation. Beaker sizes range from 50 - 5000 ml.
