West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc., the world's premier manufacturer of components and systems for injectable drug delivery, recently introduced VeriSure, an innovative product service offering that allows pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and contract manufacturers to navigate the complex and daunting task of extractables and extractables analysis for qualifying a drug product's container/closure system.

Each shipment of VeriSure components includes a Certificate of Analysis that identifies the extractables, the specifications and the quantity of the extractables for each lot of components. This enables customers to eliminate costly, time-consuming extractables testing for primary packaging components.

West's laboratory professionals test each lot of VeriSure components for extractables. With a known extractables profile, customers can begin the design of leachables studies, a process that West can support with its analytical laboratory service.

VeriSure components also support customers' "Quality by Design" (QbD) process and risk management efforts. West offers additional levels of control of materials and component manufacturing, by providing lot-to-lot quality control.
