X'Pert PRO Alpha-1 Diffraction System

The X'Pert PRO Alpha-1 diffraction system is a complete system for all types of crystallographic structure analysis. With the use of the incident beam monochromator, only the Ka₁ component of Cu or Co radiation is used. In this way, powder diffraction data of superb quality is collected, which do not need further mathematical treatment prior to determination of the crystal structure.

By changing the position of the X-ray tube from the Alpha-1 position to the standard position, the diffraction system is reconfigured into a standard Theta-2Theta diffractometer with all its possibilities. You can combine, for instance, the Alpha-1 system with a capillary spinner stage, a hybrid monochromator for monochromatic parallel beam geometry and a position-sensitive detector.
