Yamanouchi Pharma Technologies integrates R&D and manufacturing operations
Yamanouchi Pharma Technologies, Inc. (YPT), a subsidiary of Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has announced that its research, development and manufacturing operations will be consolidated into a single business unit located in Norman, Oklahoma adjacent to the University of Oklahoma. The newly integrated YPT will be led by Dr. Joseph A. Fix, President and Chief Technical Officer, Mike Beier, Senior Vice President of Operations, and Hiro Hirota, Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning and Administration. Dr. Hiroshi Suzuki will continue as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. The relocation efforts will begin in December of 2001, and will continue through mid 2003.
The integration of all operations and infrastructure systems will significantly enhance support for YPT's business and research initiatives, stimulate performance and teamwork in the entire product development process from concept to product launch, and create synergies leading to capacity gains and improved product development cycle time.
