A Hypothetical Question About Outsourcing Services Leads To … More Questions?

To improve our understanding of the supplier traits on which buyers of outsourced services focus, ISR asked (in our Bioprocessing Market Dynamics survey) a hypothetical question: “If you were in charge of establishing a bioprocessing contract manufacturing business, which service provider attributes would you ensure your company excelled at? Provide up to three responses.” The five most common answers to this unaided question offer no real surprises on their own: quality (49 percent), price/affordability (41 percent), timelines (32 percent), expertise (29 percent), and regulatory compliance (22 percent). But, when reviewed alongside the results from several other questions in the survey, some interesting findings rise to the surface.
