Aseptic Filling Of Respiratory Therapy Bottles Using Blow-Fill-Seal
Respiratory Therapy bottles are shown produced with Weiler Engineering, Inc.'s Asep-Tech® B/F/S (Blow/Fill/Seal) aseptic filling equipment with downstream servo deflasher. This process is a 6 cavity mold, Polypropylene resin, and a mold format of 360/540/640mL sterile filled volume bottle sizes.
This is an Aseptic process where Resin pellets are extruded to form the sterile container. After the extrusion process, the Mold closes around the extruded resin called a "parison". When the mold closes on the parisons they are transferred to the Aseptic filling zone for filling of the sterile product formulation. Once filled, the sterile formed and filled containers are then hermetically sealed in one continuous operation, in a matter of seconds. The featured machine can be configured to produce SVP vials up to a 60-cavity mold format and 500/1000ml LVP Bottles up to a 14-cavity format.
