Most recent regulations encourage the use of continuous viable air monitoring in critical areas. The BioCapt® microbial impactors by Particle Measuring Systems (PMS) are an air sampling solution superior to the use of settle plates that creates validated and actionable data.

The BioCapt microbial impactors help minimize microbial false positives in monitored clean areas due to their unique slit design and by reducing contamination from handling; resulting in a decrease in investigations and an increase in productivity. Additionally, many costly and time-consuming sterilization steps are eliminated, such as autoclaving, disinfecting, handling, and logistics.

The BioCapt Single-Use Microbial Impactors achieve sampling with minimal air disruption. They provide the ability to sample efficiently from 20 to 50, and 100 L/min (LPM) to suit routine monitoring, fast sampling, troubleshooting, and analytical needs. The 25 LPM device continues to recover microorganisms after four hours of continuous air sampling, thereby reducing the number of plate changes required for continuous sampling.

The BioCapt Microbial Impactor currently comes in 4 models:

  • Single-Use: Single-use monitoring impactor plates for 25-50 LPM continuous viable monitoring, the innovative design is a combination of prepared media plate and sampling head into a single sterile unit.
  • Single-Use 100L: Used to sample efficiently at 100 LPM for fast sampling, troubleshooting, and analytical applications.
  • Single-Use AutoM: Designed to enhance the reliability and consistency of readings in constrained and robotic pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
  • Stainless Steel: Enables the capture of microbiologically viable particulates on a suitable media surface for later incubation and enumeration.
