Cydem VT Automated Cell Culture System: A High-Throughput Platform For Fast And Reliable Clone Screening Experiments
By Noud Drummen

This content is brought to you by Beckman Coulter, a Danaher Operating Company.
The Cydem VT platform integrates multiple technologies to support the cultivation and monitoring of CHO cells in cell line development. At the core of the system is a bioreactor designed for cell culture experiments, enabling 96 parallel cultivations in shaken microtiter plates with a working volume of up to 5 mL. Surrounding the bioreactor are two key analytical modules:the Titer module and Cell Health module, which provide vital insights into the status of the cultures. These modules are housed within a liquid handler that automates essential liquid handling tasks, such as culture feeding and pH adjustments, allowing for longer walk-away times. Beckman Coulter Life Sciences supplies all necessary reagents and consumables in specialized experiment kits to facilitate smooth and efficient setup.
Read about the experiment kits and four main components of this high-throughput cultivation platform for automated clone screening and selection.
