Flexible Production: Körber Presents New Inspection And Packaging Innovations For The Global Market At Interpack
Düsseldorf – With two innovations, Körber is sending a clear signal at interpack for the further development of flexible packaging and inspection solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
The focus is on ALVA, an adaptive, fully automatic inspection machine designed for High Mix Low Volume (HMLV) applications, and the SPE6‑P2 Stickpack Line, which further advances proven stickpack technology and integrates seamlessly into integrated line concepts.
Both solutions address key challenges faced by pharmaceutical manufacturers, ranging from increasing product diversity and smaller batch sizes to high quality requirements. At the same time, they are part of an integrated approach aimed at seamlessly connected production environments.
With ALVA, Körber expands its portfolio with an automatic inspection machine consistently designed for HMLV scenarios. The solution enables reliable inspection of small batches with frequent product and format changes, for example syringes, vials and cartridges, without compromising quality or efficiency.
Thanks to fast changeovers, automated processes and a compact design, ALVA helps pharmaceutical manufacturers reduce downtime, accelerate release processes and ensure consistently high inspection quality even for smaller production volumes. Applications with high product variability and short changeover cycles particularly benefit, such as clinical trials, personalized therapies, ATMPs and CDMOs. ALVA scales with requirements, from clinical development through to commercial production.

The solution directly connects the SPE6 Stickpack machine with the P2 cartoner, creating a continuous, coordinated process from primary to secondary packaging. The line stands for high productivity, stable processes and optimized overall equipment effectiveness. It handles a wide range of product types, from powders and granules to liquid or temperature‑sensitive media, and as a Pharma-4.0‑ready solution is consistently designed for connectivity, traceability and future production requirements.
