Product Sheet: Half-Suit Isolator

Source: Dec Group
Walker Barrier

The Walker Barrier Systems Half-suit Isolator is designed to allow operators to perform sterility testing in an aseptic environment providing assurance of material integrity. Benefits of a half-suit in combination with or without a Transfer Isolator provide higher levels of ergonomic comfort for large volumes of sterility testing.

Samples to be tested and all associated supplies and equipment required for testing are loaded into the Transfer Isolator via a "hatchback window". When loading is completed, both of the Isolators are decontaminated with vaporised hydrogen peroxide. The decontamination process is conducted by an integrated hydrogen peroxide generator (supplied separately). When the decontamination process is complete, the Transfer Isolator is the docked to the half-suit and sterility testing can begin. This efficient process allows the use of more than one Transfer Isolator so that when one Isolator is being analyzed, another can be decontaminated.

The samples can then be membrane filtration tested by using the optional Millipore 316L Integral Steritest system integrated into the floor of the isolator. Once testing is completed, the exposed media samples and refuse will exit the isolator through the several options.
