How Tablet Shapes Impact Patient Acceptance

A tablet's design strongly influences consumer acceptance, so a company's marketing department often provides significant input regarding the final design and coating decisions. However, Natoli highly recommends to include the production department in these decisions as well, because their expertise can significantly reduce production costs and  issues. 

This article will explore two types of tablet design: flat-faced bevel edge (FFBE) and flat-faced radius edge (FFRE). These two designs have different strengths and weaknesses, but ultimately, Natoli recommends one design over the other based on clients' experience and their own research. Though the two designs' differences are sometimes visibly imperceptible, companies seeking to produce quality tablets with greater consumer acceptance should consider the trend.
