HPAPI Package Inspection Enclosure

HPAPI Package Inspection Enclosure

The HPAPI Package Inspection Suite is designed to provide personnel and product protection down to a respiratory exposure of at least 100 micrograms per cubic meter air (100 ug/m3). Package inspection operations involve manipulation of highly potent pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPI), such as fentanyl.

The rightmost enclosure accommodates space for lifting packages into the suite while retaining containment with a Dual-HEPA fan/filter housing with bag-in-bag-out (BIBO) filter replacement system. An FS6551 330-lb. capacity stainless steel lift cart is included to facilitate loading of product through a 12” diameter cutout Overhead LED lighting facilitates optimal viewing of loaded packages.

If the operator is required to inspect the package further, they may move the package to the left-side enclosure, which features a 57.75” work surface. (2x) Dual-HEPA fan/filter housings with BIBO filter replacement system retain containment on this side of the enclosure suite. An acrylic divider is included to prevent cross-contamination or to isolate the work spaces of each enclosure, creating two separately contained work areas. Conversely, the divider may be removed to yield a total width of 100” [2533mm].

Suite includes a 60” (W) mild-steel, powder-coated table with bolt-down locking system. Table features leveling pads for stability of product and reproducibility of analytical mass measurements to 6 decimal places (1 x 10-6 grams).

Additional features include:

  • Hinged door with acrylic viewing panel on right-side enclosure
  • FS2070 Waste Chute for safe disposal of waste
  • Integrated airflow alarm to alert the user when face velocity is below the setpoint calibrated by the certifier
