By Matt Smith

Cough syrup

‚ÄčTraditional cough mixtures are formulated around a syrup at 60 - 75% concentration which is made from sucrose, maltodextrin, glucose, invert syrup, etc. The remainder is made up of thickening agents, stabilizers and active ingredients.
