Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) Resistance Testing For MiniCapt® Pro Microbial Sampler
Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) is widely recognized as an effective sterilizing agent, particularly in enclosed filling isolators due to its strong oxidizing properties. As isolator use becomes more common, the need for robust samplers that can withstand these enduring environments continues to grow. The MiniCapt® Pro Remote Microbial Sampler addresses this need with an internal flow path specifically designed to resist the corrosive effects of VHP.
Samplers exposed to VHP often face challenges such as internal surface corrosion and degradation, a reduced lifespan, and a lower mean time to failure (MTTF). Preventative measures were integrated into the samplers to mitigate these issues, and their flow path surfaces were subjected to rigorous testing. This included both static and full-cycle VHP exposure tests while the instrument was in operation. Results from each phase were evaluated and compared against the criteria set in the calibration procedure, and all were within acceptable limits. Explore test results demonstrating the MiniCapt Pro instruments are well-suited for environments where frequent exposure to harsh cleaning and sterilization methods, such as VHP in isolators, is routine.
