Wash in Place (WIP) Transfer Valve Cleaning

ChargePoint’s WIP accessories provide effective local cleaning of the ChargePoint active valve unit.

Simple static WIP passive, WIP drain passive or WIP drain unit installation offers uncomplicated local gross decontamination.

Overview:

ChargePoint’s specifically designed WIP devices ensures the ability to effectively wash the product contact and sealing areas of a ChargePoint active valve.

Increased cleaning effectiveness of the surface area of the active unit exposed to the wash cycle is maximised through an economic and GMP design of the WIP accessories as there is no passive unit seat or disc within the assembly.

Some designs can also be pressure rated, accommodating recirculation, flood or high-pressure washing cycles.

How it works:

The WIP Passive and Drain accessories mimic a standard passive by locking into the active unit to allow it to be opened within a contained environment before the wash cycle is run.

The device features an O-ring on the outer perimeter to create a liquid seal to the Active unit.

Applications:

Various configurations are available to suit the required WIP process and installation set-up:

WIP Passive

  • Used when the active unit is installed upright (charging) orientation
  • Fixed sprayball coupled to wash fluid source
  • Wash fluid will drain through the active unit into the process below

WIP Drain Passive

  • Used when the active unit is installed in the inverted (discharge) orientation
  • Fixed sprayball coupled to wash fluid source
  • Additional drain port allowing wash fluid to drain out of the device

WIP Drain

  • Used when the active unit is installed in the inverted (discharge) orientation
  • Single drain port allowing the active unit to be utilised as a drain point from the process
  • No sprayball
