When harvesting cell cultures with high density ( > 250x10^6 cells/mL) or high turbidity ( > 3000 NTU), depth filters can quickly clog and bring the entire process to a standstill. Using the Thermo Scientific Sorvall BIOS 16 Centrifuge and single-use CentriPAK BPC chambers, cell cultures from 3 to 300 L may be harvested rapidly in a closed system without risking delays and the extra expense of clogs in depth filtration methods.
